Wonder of wonders, in my old age I find my cell phone handy for remembering some things. The calendar allows me to post reminders. Now if I can just remember where I put my cell phone .....!
I use a written planner. I use a lot of tech for many things, but the act of mechanically writing on pages creates a multi-sensory experience and better awareness throughout the day. I also take handwritten notes when listening to sermons and seminars - I find it more efficient and helps my memory...now, where did I leave my planner....
Does writing things down help? Yes, provided I can retrain myself to use a pencil instead of a pen which I often can't find. By the time I've found a working pen I often can't remember what I wanted to write down but I can still pat myself on the back for having engaged in some exercise instead of just remaining in one position.
Thanks for responding! I enjoy the calendar also.
And I enjoy posting tasks with times and dates attached. If I fail to do them one day, they show up again on the next.
What a positive way to frame that!

We are in synch about the handwritten notes. I'm glad that you, as a tech wiz, do the same.
I laughed about your final line. In my 20s I misplaced a book on remembering for months, and eventually found it under my couch.
