Poor socks. We're blaming them for our foot problems?? Maybe it's the shoes!!

If I hear you correctly, I think you are joking. And I smile.

Then I remember that there is actually a train of thought that says our feet are much healthier if we spend a lot of time going barefoot. Some even are fans of going barefoot outside and running barefoot. Even the though of running barefoot makes me wince. But wearing only socks indoors is really comfortable!

I too have a thing about socks, preferring "smart wool" which when new provide a cushion. I have had problems with flat feet, corns, and now turned in toes, toenails I am no longer able to cut, and people who know all about how I can fix my own one of a kind elderly foot.

I have never heard of "smart wool." So I looked it up and found: "Smartwool is a brand of clothing and accessories made from merino wool. The company was founded in 1994 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Smartwool is known for its base layers, hiking socks, and running socks"

Now I had to look up "merino" and I found: "Merino wool is a premium fiber that's soft, warm, and breathable. It's made from the fine wool of Merino sheep, which are known for their hardiness. "

It's been an educational morning. I learned two new word!
