Lisa, I'm not sure, but I know that my wondering can easily turn the corner and become worrying. Let me know if what you try to counteract worrying works out for you.

I wonder if wondering and worrying are related. What would happen if upon finding myself fretting over something I began to wonder about what good could happen? Would inviting God to be a part of my worried thoughts cause them to be more filled with wonder?

I wonder…it actually slows a brain down, keeping it from flitting from thought to thought so quickly that it is impossible to decide anything. Finding the best pace to make decisions and still keep our imaginations working—that is the issue.

Do you mean that if we wonder too speedily and flit from topic to topic to fast, It may have a negative affect on our decision making and imaginative work?

Wondering is the stuff of which new art, writing, recipes, etc. happen. It also gives new pleasure to others as well as oneself. It keeps us from being mired down in things that we imagine we can control..
